A ‘get ²gether’ is taking place in Gloucester to give people an opportunity to find out more about ²gether NHS Foundation Trust and its work.

²gether, which provides mental and social health care across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, is organising the event with Trust Public Governors on the evening of Tuesday June 10.

The event will take place at Blackfriars Priory, off Ladybellegate Street, in Gloucester City Centre, from 6 until 8pm.

It is an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the services provided to people in Gloucester and beyond, as well as become members of the Trust if they want to.

Gillian Hayes, ²gether’s Public Governor for Gloucester, said: “This event is a chance for people to hear more about what ²gether does to support people with mental illnesses, learning disabilities and other conditions, such as dementia.

“It is being held during Men’s Health Week, which this year is focussing on work, stress and unemployment. We will be hearing from a guest speaker about his experiences of living with mental illness, as well as discussing why men may be more reluctant to seek help with mental health conditions, including stress and anxiety.

“It is a great opportunity to come along, have a say in what we do and find out what support we and the other agencies who will be attending are able to provide.”

The event will also feature a presentation from Trust Chief Executive Shaun Clee, and there will be opportunities to speak with representatives from local services, visit stands, ask questions of our Board and Governors, provide feedback and have a say in helping to shape local services.
