2gether NHS Foundation Trust has appointed a new Non-Executive.
Dr Martin Freeman has been a GP for 33 years. He is currently based in the Cam and Dursley area of Gloucestershire and has been the GP Clinical Lead for Dementia in the county and the South West region.
Martin has a great interest in the provision of care for people with mental illness and learning disabilities.
Baroness Rennie Fritchie, Chair of ²gether NHS Foundation Trust said: ‘I’m very pleased to welcome Martin to the Trust. This is an important and challenging time for us and his community involvement, knowledge and understanding of the NHS will help strengthen our already strong Board.
‘I look forward to working with Dr Freeman and I know he will add great value to our work as we continue to deliver high quality local health Services in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.’
Martin said of his appointment: ‘I am very pleased to be joining ²gether and look forward to contributing to the work of the Trust. I am particularly keen that we continue to focus on the delivery of services and facilities that are responsive to local people’s needs during a time of significant change in the NHS.’
