The Trust is a member of the Triangle of Care national scheme run by the Carers Trust. The Triangle of Care is a service which brings together carers, service users and professionals.
It aims to promote safety and recovery for people with mental health issues and encourage their wellbeing by including and supporting their carers. We are currently working with our inpatient units, crisis teams and early intervention services across the Trust to develop our work with carers.
Improving support for carers - teams throughout the Trust are looking closely at how well they support carers using the Triangle of Care toolkit and improving services where there are gaps.
We need your help – if you are a current carer of someone using our services you can support Triangle of Care in a number of ways:
- Carers’ experience is valued by the Trust and we have a programme to involve people who use services and the people who care for them. If you would like to get involved in our Expert by Experience programme, please contact us.
- You are invited to come to a training session as a learner – we are running sessions in both counties and would like staff and carers to learn through sharing experience – to book a place contact our Social Inclusion Team
