GHC Apprenticeship Awards 2026 – the winners!

This week we are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week (9-15 February). A fitting finale for this annual celebration is our GHC Apprenticeship Awards.

This virtual awards ceremony highlights and celebrates the commitment and contribution of our fantastic colleagues who are on or have recently completed an apprenticeship, and our fabulous T-level students. Special acknowledgment is also due to our inspirational motivational mentors, who have been recognised as nominees within our Trust. Their unwavering dedication and hard work in guiding our apprentices has been truly exceptional.

This year we have four categories. These cover our clinical and non-clinical apprentices, T-level students, and motivational mentors. Due to the high standard of candidates this year, each award has a winner alongside an individual that the judges felt deserved special recognition.

And the winners are…

Clinical Apprentice of the Year
Winner: Naomi Larner

Special Recognition: Tessa Harris

Non-clinical Apprentice of the Year
Winner: Holly Greenway

Special Recognition: Chris Brown

T-level Student of the Year
Winner: Sophie Lysenko

Special Recognition: Sophie Massey

Motivational Mentor of the Year
Winner: Anne Dodson

Special Recognition: Caroline Winfield

Congratulations to everyone who has been nominated this year – it is an achievement to be shortlisted, and we are proud of you all.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to write a nomination – and to the judges who had the difficult job of selecting the winners this year.
