Quality Mark for Preceptorship Programme

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the National Preceptorship Interim Quality Mark from NHS England.

Applications for the quality mark opened on 1 January 2023, and there are 33 trusts so far in England who have achieved this.

Preceptorship is the way in which newly registered professionals, including nurses, are welcomed into an organisation and how they are supported to develop into their role.

Sylvia Jellyman, Professional Development and Clinical Skills lead, explained that achieving the quality mark was a lengthy process, involving achieving 10 mandatory criteria.

She added: “We are so very proud to have been awarded this quality mark, as it truly reflects our fantastic preceptorship offer here at GHC.”
