CAMHS text messaging

CAMHS text messagingAs part of our work to reduce missed appointments and ensure that only those who need our service remain on our waiting list, our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team is checking in with families to better understand their needs at this current time.

We will be getting in touch with you when you are close to the top of our list, by text message or by post, to ask you to complete a short survey to help us to reduce waiting times.

In the SMS text message from ‘GHC-NHS’ you will receive a unique 4-digit pin. We’ll ask you to enter the pin and the child or young person’s date of birth so that you can log in and complete the survey. If you do not respond to the text message, we will write to you asking for completion of the paper survey which will be sent to you in the post.

If we do not have a mobile contact number, a letter will be sent to in the post. A business reply envelope will be included with the letter to allow the return of the survey without any cost to you. The return address will be in Macclesfield – this is where our team are collating responses.

We would like to assure you that our communication will only ever ask questions relating to your, or your child’s care.

We will never ask for bank details or reference to money or payment or for your name or address, however you will be able to update your details if they are not correct.
