Falls Prevention Awareness Week: September 18-22

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is committed to empowering all older adults in Gloucestershire to reduce their risk of falls, which are one of the greatest causes of serious injuries and death among people over age 65. On September 18-22, GHC is partnering with the National Council on Aging (NCOA) to mark Falls Prevention Awareness Week.

As part of this national outreach campaign, our Falls Assessment and Education Service will be holding the following awareness and information events to help people stay strong, steady and active:

  • Monday 18 September: Dursley Sainsbury’s
  • Tuesday 19 September: Cirencester Marketplace
  • Wednesday 20 September: Gloucester Kings Walk
  • Thursday 21 September: Cheltenham Regent Arcade
  • Friday 22 September: Coleford Clock Tower
  • Tuesday 26 September: Tewkesbury Dobbies
