Speech and Language Therapy training

February 26, 2024

Our Speech and Language Therapy department is running two training courses designed to help teachers build classroom skills.

‘Vocabulary in the Classroom’ focuses on practical strategies to develop vocabulary, while ‘Developing Narrative Language Skills’ looks at what narrative skills are, difficulties that children can have and strategies to help them develop their skills. Both feature a combination of theory and practical activities.

These courses will be at Highnam Community Centre on Monday 4 March. Vocabulary in the Classroom runs from 9-10.30am and Developing Narrative Language Skills from 11am-12.30pm. Each course costs £50 per person.

Places are limited – for more information or to book please email childrensSLTtraining@ghc.nhs.uk by Wednesday 28 February.
