Team of the Week: Recovery Team

Our Team of the Week is our amazing Recovery Team They provide a comprehensive community rehabilitation and recovery service for people aged 18-65 with severe and enduring mental illness, who have complex needs.

They help service users to function as well as possible in everyday life and offer support to help establish a sustainable, independent quality of life within the community.

The team have been working hard throughout the pandemic and have been adapting to new ways of working – continuing to provide emotional & practical support, psychological interventions and running clinics to ensure patients get their medications and their physical health is monitored.

The team is made up of support workers, mental health nurses, administrators, medics, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists & psychologists and they work from bases across the county including Cheltenham and North Cotswolds, Cirencester, Gloucester, Forest of Dean, Stroud and Tewkesbury.

Over the last 18 months, the team has really pulled together to ensure that the service runs as smoothly as possible and have adjusted to changes whilst continuing to provide quality care to people with complex needs.
