Parking at the hospital site is free.

The MIIU is usually open from 8am until 8pm daily, with last walk-in arrivals at 7.30pm. Please be aware that these opening times are subject to change, as we sometimes need to manage demand and maintain patient safety.

By ringing 111, you will be assessed and directed to the service that will best meet your individual needs.

We cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to any property you bring into our hospitals unless:

• it has been handed to a member of staff for safekeeping and a receipt obtained or
• it has been recorded as being kept by, or with, the patient.

Storage space for personal property is limited, so it is helpful if this is kept to a minimum. We are unable to wash patients clothing and will leave this for relatives to take home. Anything that is soiled will be clearly labelled.

Minor Injury and Illness Unit (MIIU)

Open from 8am until 8pm daily (last ‘walk ins’ at 7.30pm). There’s free parking and you can book an appointment by ringing 111 or visiting NHS 111 online.

Diagnostic facilities

The X-ray department is hosted at The Forest of Dean Community Hospital (Cinderford) and staffed by dedicated radiographers from Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. More information and contact details are available on the Gloucestershire Hospitals Radiology website.
