Bev and Jane were two of 57 nurses nationwide who were awarded the title at the charity’s awards ceremony, held in London recently. It brings the total number of Queens Nurses working for Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust to eight.
The title ‘Queen’s Nurse’ is awarded to indicate a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership. Nurses who hold the title benefit from developmental workshops, bursaries, networking opportunities, and a shared professional identity.
QNI director, Crystal Oldman, said: ‘Congratulations are due to Jane and Bev for their success. Community nurses operate in an ever more challenging world and our role is to support them as effectively as we can. The Queen’s Nurse title is a key part of this and we would encourage other community nurses to apply.’
Congratulations Bev and Jane on achieving your Queen’s Nurse awards.
