Council of Governors – Nominations Open Now

November 8, 2023
Nominations are now open for you to join our Council of Governors.
Our Council needs the following governors:
• Public: Cheltenham – 1 vacancy
• Public: Gloucester – 1 vacancy
• Public: Tewkesbury – 2 vacancies
• Staff: Medical, Dental & Nursing – 1 vacancy
The Council of Governors is the ‘voice’ of our Trust members, who include our colleagues as well as members of the public. The Council helps set the direction for the future of local services, based on our members’ views. This is your opportunity to get involved and to make your voice count.
The Role
The Council is made up of 25 governors, including public governors, staff governors and representatives from partner agencies. It meets up to six times per year and is chaired by our Trust Chair, Ingrid Barker. Governors serve three years in their role and work alongside the Trust’s Board to determine the strategic direction of the organisation and how services are delivered and developed. Governors are volunteers, who represent the interests of members, provide feedback on services, and hold the Non-Executive Directors to account for the Board’s performance.
How to apply
Further information and a nomination form can be found online at www.cesvotes.com/Gloucestershire2023
