A Gloucester hospital is organising an afternoon of entertainment, fun and games for previous and current patients as well as carers.

The garden party, at Wotton Lawn Hospital, is being held on Sunday September 15 from 3 until 6pm.

Gemma Coltraro, Charge Nurse at Wotton Lawn’s Priory Ward said: “We held a similar garden party last year. That was a great success, so we’ve decided to repeat the event again this year.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming back old friends, as well as the carers of our current patients.

“Carers provide such vital support – they really are unsung heroes. Our garden party is one more way we can help recognise and celebrate their vital role in a patient’s recovery as well as offer them further support, health and wellbeing advice.”

The garden party will be attended by representatives from Carers Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire Young Carers, County Community Projects and ²gether staff who can offer advice and information to everyone who attends.

In addition to information and displays, there will be live music, a barbecue and other refreshments, as well as a tombola, face painting and a variety of games.

If you would like to attend the free event or for more information, please speak to a member of the ward team by calling 01452 894535.
