A campaign to mark World Mental Health Day is being launched at a free event in Gloucester on Wednesday 10 October.
²gether NHS Foundation Trust (²gether), is partnering with Guide & PALs and ASDA Supermarkets to raise awareness of mental wellbeing and to launch the county’s first NHS mental health Service User Charter.
The one off event runs from 10am to 3pm in the ASDA car park, Gloucester and everyone is invited to come and join us.
²gether’s mental health team and GUIDE and PALs staff will be on hand to offer information and suggestions on how to improve emotional wellbeing, as well as giving advice on accessing local mental health services.
Metal health is one of society’s last taboos, even though one in four people will experience some form of mental distress during their lives – whether that’s depression, anxiety, stress, memory loss or a more complex condition.
Dr Jane Melton Said: “We encourage people visiting the information bus to make their own pledge – to tackle stigma. We hope that a combined show of strength will encourage other people to start having their own conversations about emotional wellbeing.”
