New home for NHS Gloucestershire Talking Therapies service

Our talking therapies service (formerly known as Let’s Talk) is moving into St Paul’s Medical Centre in Cheltenham.

Its relocation to the newly-refurbished therapy area will help meet the increasing demands of the service and ease the pressure on colleagues currently working in the limited space available at Lexham Lodge in Cheltenham.

NHS Talking Therapies is our Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service. Primarily it offers cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) – talking therapy that has been proven effective in managing anxiety and depression by helping people make changes to the way they think and behave. The service offers support for mental health conditions such as:

  • Depression
  • Emotional wellbeing with a baby
  • Anxiety
  • Panic disorder
  • Post traumatic stress disorder
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Phobias
