The equipment on display will include an ‘E Tran’ frame, alphabet & picture charts as well as more high tech equipment such as lightwriters, iPads with voice output apps and a cursor control/hands-free ergonomic mouse (head mouse) to access a laptop.

Jane Stroud, head of speech and language therapy, said: ‘This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the need for and the range of equipment and technology that can support people’s communication.  We’re delighted to be working alongside the Ear Nose and Throat department at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Members of the public can have a “hands on” experience of communication aids as well as meeting therapists, suppliers and people who use communication aids.’
