Team of the Week: Facilities Team

July 8, 2021

Our Team of the Week is our incredible Facilities Team – they’ve worked tirelessly for us over the past year to support our colleagues and services during the pandemic.

We have over 200 staff working in our Facilities Team across 48 sites in Gloucestershire. The team is made up of housekeepers, catering staff, porters, team leaders, supervisors, admin and management.

The team has adapted their normal routine during the pandemic to incorporate enhanced cleaning, wearing additional PPE to work safely in a busy and physical job, menu adaptations dependent on the patients appetite and special diets and much more.

We have welcomed many new staff into the team over the last 12 months, some substantive, some agency and some redeployed – we couldn’t have got through the last year without all of these new members of the team. You could be a part of this friendly team too! – they’re currently recruiting to the following roles:

HPV vaccination programme moves to single dose

The Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine helps to prevent HPV-related cancers from developing in boys and girls. While most types of HPV are harmless, some high-risk types can lead to the development of cancers, including cervical cancer, cancers of the head and neck (mouth and throat) and cancers of the anus and genital areas.
