We are running an event (flyer attached here) where we want to hear from local people about what it’s like to grow older and live with a health condition in their communities. We also want to explore “what is frailty?” and find out how health, social and community services can support local people, particularly those registered at the following practices:

College Yard Surgery

Churchdown Surgery

Longlevens Surgery

Cheltenham Road Surgery

Hucclecote Surgery

Gloucester Health Access Centre

Brockworth Surgery

The event which will be taking place between 10.30am – 1.30 pm on Friday 21 July at Churchdown Community Centre, Gloucester, GL3 2JH. Lunch will be provided and transport can be arranged.

World AIDS Day – 1st December

Friday 1 December is #WorldAIDSDay – a global campaign by the National AIDS Trust, which has been recognised on 1st December every year since 1988. Its aim is to support those living with HIV, remember those who have lost their lives to AIDS-related illness, secure the rights of people living with the condition and continue the fight to end the stigma surrounding HIV.

Representatives from Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust were extremely proud and honoured this morning to receive the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award from the Wessex Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (WRFCA), in recognition of its commitment and support for defence personnel.
